Mack McGhee Is the Deputy Director of the Division of Security and Operations. He joined the S.C. Department of Juvenile Justice in May 2022. McGhee earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University & Governors State University. He also holds a Masters of Art in Political and Justice Studies as well as earning a Executive Certificate from Georgetown University on Youth in Custody. He has held numerous positions with several child welfare, human services, correctional & educational agencies in the State of Illinois, Washington D.C, New York City and the State of South Carolina.
Mack is Past President of the award-winning Homewood-Flossmoor Toastmasters Club 1451 where in 2006 he won the International Speech Contest for the Club, Area, and South Division of District 30. Mack is the proud father to a beautiful 20-year-old named Maya Simone, who is a student at Howard University, and Mack is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
