Mack McGhee - Deputy Director, Division of Security and Operations

Mack McGheeMack McGhee Is the Deputy Director of the Division of Security and Operations.  He joined the S.C. Department of Juvenile Justice in May 2022. McGhee earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University & Governors State University. He also holds a Masters of Art in Political and Justice Studies as well as earning a Executive Certificate from Georgetown University on Youth in Custody. He has held numerous positions with several child welfare, human services, correctional & educational agencies in the State of Illinois, Washington D.C, New York City and the State of South Carolina.

Mack is Past President of the award-winning Homewood-Flossmoor Toastmasters Club 1451 where in 2006 he won the International Speech Contest for the Club, Area, and South Division of District 30.  Mack is the proud father to a beautiful 20-year-old named Maya Simone, who is a student at Howard University, and Mack is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
