Career and Technical Education (CATE) gives students technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners.

SCDJJ's school district offers students a variety of career and technology courses with supporting career development activities:

Parenting Education

SCDJJ's school district also offers "School-to-Careers," a challenging academic and CATE curriculum in career exploration with counseling initiatives. Teachers are trained to link classroom learning to the world of work. The state’s business and education partnerships are the foundations of the School-to-Careers system.
