Floyd D. Lyles

Superintendent and Deputy Director, Education and Workforce Development

Floyd Lyles is the superintendent of the SCDJJ School District and is the Deputy Director for Education and Workforce Development Division. Lyles joined SCDJJ in 2016 as the assistant principal at the Birchwood School. Lyles is committed to providing opportunities for all students, resources for the staff who serve them, and support for all who contribute to the well-being of justice-involved youth. He holds Master's and Education Specialist degrees from Converse College, and a bachelor’s degree from Benedict College.

Rhonda E. Holman

Rhonda E. Holman

Deputy Director, Community Services

Rhonda Holman is the Deputy Director of of Community Services.  She is a 1991 graduate of South Carolina State College (now South Carolina State University) with a Bachelor of Social Work. She began her employment at the S.C. Department of Juvenile Justice on January 6, 1992, in the Orangeburg /Calhoun County Office as a Probation and Parole Officer. She was promoted to Probation and Parole Supervisor on October 17, 2005.

She was promoted to Program and Projects Manager on October 17, 2017. In February 2019, she became the ISO Statewide Program Coordinator. She became the Deputy Director for Community Services on June 20, 2020.

She is married to Kendall J. Holman and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Ed Pearce

Ed Pearce

Deputy Director, Division of Administrative Services

Ed Pearce is the Deputy Director of the Division of Administrative Services. He started with SCDJJ in July 2022. Prior to that, he worked with the Department of Administration for seven and half years as Deputy Director of the S.C. Enterprise Information System (SCEIS), before which he served as the SCDJJ's Chief Financial Officer.

Christine G. Wallace

Christine G. Wallace

Chief of Staff

Christine Wallace began her career at the SC Department of Juvenile Justice in 1992, working on the front lines with adolescent youth. Her experience spans more than 30 years, working with various child-servicing agencies in an effort to address the needs of youth and families throughout the state. This includes working for the Continuum of Care, Prevent Child Abuse SC (now Children’s Trust of SC), Children’s Law Center and The Center for Child and Family Studies, both at the University of South Carolina. Mrs. Wallace was promoted to the position of Chief of Staff in February 2022.  As Chief of Staff, Mrs. Wallace leads the agency’s strategic planning and development efforts, as well as supports leadership in ensuring efficient and effective operations for the organization.

Eden L. Hendrick

L. Eden Hendrick

Executive Director

L. Eden Hendrick was officially confirmed as Executive Director by the SC Senate on May 11, 2022. As Executive Director, Hendrick has focused her efforts on employee retention and recruitment, facility upgrades, and increased mental health services for SCDJJ youth. Before joining SCDJJ, Hendrick served as Assistant General Counsel at the SC Department of Administration.
